On Tuesday the 2/12/08 gold house had student led conference, i arrived with my dad, step mum, step sister and my nan, my family was really excited. I walked in and waited for a few minutes, nan was looking at our garden, i said "come on nan" "OK" nan replied.
As we walked in i introduced my family to Matua mark, then they started to chat, i asked if they would like to come and take a seat' OK there were some folders on he table, my family looked through them i showed them my art work.
Then I went and got my sheet which tells me what i will do for 15minutes, anyways i logged on smart net and opened up my reflections my family read through them, and asked a few questions.
After that I walked them around the room and told them what everything was, my family and i walked over to lara's tank, they asked what kind of dragon she is i said, she is a australian bearded dragon. The were amazed.
I asked matua if he wanted to say anything to my parents, "yes" as me and my step sister were walking around we walked back in and my family was ready to go, my dad and matua was chatting about music then we started to walk out, and they done there hand shake and we left.

The Health Expo...
6/11/08
Today at 11:45 I went over to the gym for the health expo, i walked in with excitement wow heaps of fun, there were heaps of activities to look at and also there was draws. The first activity that i went to was positive puberty i learnt that you have to clean your self and if you have not had a shower you will start getting pimples, anyways this girl walked us around and talked about the boards we got to a bit about pregnancy, and there was a condom hanging on the wall, the girl go's so do you know what this is and we all said yes and our answer was it is for a boy.
The next activity i went to was a five minute learning about the human heart, me and Arnica were sitting on the chairs, then this girl gave us a sheet each about the heart it was a quiz we were sitting there like we didn't know what to write with so she gave us a pen we wrote the answers down really fast and BOOM the lady came out and asked if we would like to come so we did it was a really little room we sat down, the lady asked us a whole heap of questions about the heart we answered her, then she had pulled this heart counter thing that she had put on ms Wilson it was really scary, then the heart pump thing stopped and it said 95 the lady said it was a really good number for her.
After that me and Arnica went to a little place that i forgot the name of it was a Maori name, anyways the lady who was in this little area showed us around asked us a few questions and done a friendship hand game there was four of us we all held hands in a star kind of shape then she asked if we can stay holding hands but turn into a circle without letting go of hands, WOW she said you guys are the first to do that, we all looked at each other and had huge smiles on our faces. She had given us some stickers and a badge about friendship,Family
Well that was awesome but there's more so we walked over to the smoke free area and done both of the draws then i got three darts to throw at a whole heap of air water balloons, i popped 1 balloon and i missed the other two, then the lady asked if any one smokes in my family smokes " yes" i replied she gave me a sheet about smoking, and what it can do, i said thanks for all the information about what smoking can do to you.

The swoop!
It was a sunny day when Coral was leaving, we b2 went on a class trip to the agrodome and agroventures. We arrived at the agrodome, everyone was excited! we took a look around and saw this long picnic table, we all walked over to the table and sat down, an old looking lady that was probably in her 60's and asked if we could sit down on the table so she could take a photo of us. Then Matua mark told us to go over to Nicola so she could give us a sticker to go to the farm show, we all walked in with excitement, we had huge smiles on our faces, then it started to smell as we were walking in, it smelt like poos and wees, it was disgusting but we got used to it. This 30 year old man came running on the stage like he had a million light bulbs on his head! then he started letting all the sheep's up on to the stage everyone was laughing, then the man called up four people an old lady, Matua mark, Australian and a 20 year old man. The MC asked if they had ever milked a cow?, they all said no, so the MC was tell them how to milk, "you rub your thumb and finger together" so they did, then they brought this cow in all the people who were picked then they were milking the cow it was funny as!. Anyways we walked over to the agroventures and sat down on the veranda and listened to Kyle matua's friend. Kyle gave us these red tickets for the swoop ride, we walked around for a little while, then we went down to a little shade bit matua mark told us to get into groups of three i went with Tiria and Chloe. When my mates and i saw the first lot go i was like i ain't going on the swoop and my stomach had heaps of butterflies. After a few people had gone it was our turn... we were so scared it was not funny! we went straight down our all you could feel was the air going through your mouth it was cool as! then we up and back down my gut's just ran out of me!. Anyways i would rate that as my best day ever especially with the whole class, we had heaps of fun, it was near the end of time but matua wanted to have the best ending of the trip so we stood at the edge of the splash zone and got a photo of the whole class, then all we heard was the engine of the jet boat come and it done a drift in the water, then we all got saturated it was mint as. Then we traveled back to school and were saying our good bye's to Coral, it was really sad but we had some bad times and good times it was awesome with her, then the bell went it was so sad, but she still lives here.
